Snowdonia Winter Yoga Weekend 2023
03.02 - 05.02
Nestled in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, the February 2023 Yoga weekend is amongst the most beautiful scenery in the UK.
Led by senior Yoga teacher and embodiment practitioner, Charlene McAuley, and assisted by Christoph Seiland, Senses Beyond Snowdonia 2023 comes with its very own pristine lake, delicious food, and of course, embodiment practices to feel yourself more clearly.
All practices are designed to guide you into your experience in the here and now, with an emphasis not on perfecting a particular pose, but how you can be present with yourself and the world.
How clearly we see the world and others depends upon how clearly we sense ourselves. This weekend is dedicated to concentrated practices to sharpen our experience away from the noise, so we can reenter the noise with a clearer sense of self with more awareness and choice.
With enlivening yet sensitive Yoga practices providing an anchor to your retreat, each morning you’ll be given an opportunity to feel into yourself, starting the day with intention and a reminder of what matters to you. Beginning with Pranayama and Meditation, you’ll be guided through flowing, embodied Yoga in the Yoga shala overlooking the Snowdonia landscape.
After the morning practice, we'll have a creative exploration using drawing and writing to delve into embodied wellbeing themes. Post-lunch we'll head out for a walk around the UNESCO World Heritage slate quarries, before a deeply calming session featuring gentle release and guided relaxation.
We are so pleased to be holding our retreat at Trigonos, an 18 acre estate in a quiet Snowdonia valley. Dedicated to wellness and the arts since 1996, it is a special place to connect both with stillness and creativity within.
With scenery reminiscent of the Lord of Rings, freshwater swimmers can take in the sights while swimming or dipping in the onsite ancient lake. It truly is a magical place.
Speaking of magical, Trignonos has a proud reputation of serving consistently delicious vegetarian food! All meals, teas, coffees, and afternoon cakes are included.

“I am certain that the benefits of the time I spent on retreat with you in Portugal are lasting far beyond the week itself. Since returning I have found the motivation to develop new habits and routines including a daily yoga or meditation practice. I am so grateful to you both for sharing your wisdom and experience, which has inspired me to commit to these changes, and I’ve already booked my place in Tuscany in August 2022, knowing it will be another valuable week of self-care, learning... and fun!”

“A heartfelt thank-you from the three of us for such a restoring and nourishing retreat. We all loved your classes, and the attention to detail was fantastic. Thank you for offering your time and teachings in such a generous way.”

“What I really love about your teachings is that you’ve collected a huge amount of movement in all your self exploring and your previous trainings. You are authentic and embody what you teach. I like the simplicity of postures which turn out to be super effective. I become more aware of my body. Everybody feels very welcome in your course wherever the person is in their own yoga experience.”
